There are three methods for the synthesis of polymers containing azobenzene structure:
First synthesize vinyl-containing azobenzene compounds, and then undergo homopolymerization or copolymerization with other olefin monomers, such as the reaction of hydroxymethyl acrylamide and styrene copolymer with amino azobenzene derivatives;
Coupling reaction of polym-hydroxystyrene with diazo compounds;
The azobenzene structure is introduced into the molecular chain of polyamide and nylon 66 by copolycondensation.
